Spotify Changes Everything

There’s a ton of music discovery, social music networks and online radio sites out there but now and again someone comes along and show’s how it should be done.  Enter Spotify.  Basically access to millions of tracks (legally) on your PC in a simple, sexy iTunes like interface.

Finally a way for people to enjoy free music without stiffing the artists and labels.

Spotify offer a free Ad funded service (you get an advert between song plays every 25 mins-ish) or you can pay a premium subscription with no adverts.

The killer app is the ability to share playlists with anyone else using Spotify via a URL and you can even collaborate on playlists.

Click here to sign up to the free service.

We’ll be posting some special Spotify playlists very soon.

Another approach to music discovery is our new service Music Patterns; it provides customized playlists based on music that ‘People Like You’ actually listen to.

Using a psychology-based approach to music preferences , this method combines your individual preferences with identifying those that are similar to your ‘music personality.’

This new form of social music recommendation was developed from years of research in this area by best selling author Dr. Dan Levitin and our team at Signal Patterns.
