Before the wall came down it was next to impossible to get vinyl behind the Iron Curtain   Instead of jaming to approved Soviet folk music the ingenious DJ’s taped music any which way and started to cut & splice sets together (literally).
Not only that, some DJ’s started to cut it up live on tape [...]

Blimey just realised its a year since our last post.

Came across Cinétrip at Sziget Festival (Budapest, Hungary) in 2005. They had an circular open air tent, brilliant visuals and excellent dj’s. They’re now putting on parties in one of Budapest’s spa baths…nice!
